Faded Icons of the West is a striking visual chronicle of the American West through the lens of photographer Jules Frazier. Photographed from 1985 through 2019 and spanning thousands of miles, the collection moves through wide-open landscapes, rodeo, ranch life, cowboys, neon, roadside Americana, and the people and places that define the West.

Organized into Frontier, Blue Tone, Neon, Rodeo, Rodeo Queens, Ranch, Roadside, and Making Of, the book traces Frazier’s evolving view of Western life. The early work was photographed on 35mm, 2¼ and 4×5 film, with a transition to digital photography in 2009. From sweeping landscapes to intimate portraits and unexpected details, her editorial eye brings together grit, beauty, fashion, nostalgia, and the unmistakable character of the West.

The book concludes with an extensive Index, documenting each photograph by title, subject, location, and date.
