A cowboy leans against a wall, head down, caught between places. The motel is worn, dingy light, shag carpet, Wyoming miles from anywhere. And yet the beach is there too. Tropical wallpaper folded into the scene like a memory or a dream that hasn’t quite let go.
The image feels lifted from a film still, where nothing is explained and everything matters. Western grit meets island escape. A pause between lives, between roads, between versions of yourself. You don’t know where he’s been or where he’s headed and that’s exactly the point. Photographed on film, limited edition.
